I have purchased a Fonome SIM, how do I set it up and get my Fonome network started?

Open your SIM packet

Insert this SIM in the mobile device and switch the mobile on, please make sure that your mobile is unlocked for all networks to work. Your SIM is preloaded with £5 credit. You will receive a welcome text message from Fonome Mobile and you are ready to make calls.

How do I activate my Fonome SIM?

Your SIM will activate by itself after you have inserted it into your mobile device.

How long will my Fonome SIM take to activate?

It should be activated straightaway but give it couple of minutes as this might get affected by the surroundings of the area.

How do I check my balance?

To check your balance, please dial 101 from your Fonome mobile.

How do I set up internet and MMS settings on my phone?

Go to settings, then Select Wireless and networks, then Mobile Data, and then Access point name (APN). Create a new APN, and please enter the following:

Name: FONOME

APN: mobiledata

You can leave the rest of the settings as they are.

Save and select this APN, and turn on you Mobile Data connection, and you will have internet access.

For iPhones:

Go to settings, then Select Mobile , Mobile Data network or cellular data network and then Access point name (APN). Create a new APN, and please enter the following:

Name: FONOME

APN: mobiledata

No username or password is required for the APN settings.

Save and select this APN, and turn on you Mobile Data connection, and you will have internet access.

How do I set up my voicemail?

Voice mail is enabled by default; you can access it by dialling 786.

How much will my voicemail service cost me?

Voicemail services are free on FONOME.

How can I deactivate my voicemail service?

To disable your voicemail dial 7862 from your Fonome mobile.

How will I know when I need to top up my phone?

You will receive a free balance alert text, when your balance reaches £1 or less.

How do I top up my phone?

You can top up using online facility from our website at any time; or buy a voucher from the selected stores.

Are there any hidden or monthly fees for using the SIM?

There are no hidden or monthly charges.

How do I report a SIM lost or stolen?

You need to email us on customercare@fonome.com, to report a lost or stolen SIM.

Can I top up by credit or debit card? Or only by voucher?

You can use both methods. You can top up by credit or debit card from our website.

I have purchased a top up voucher, how do I add this to my credit balance?

Scratch you top up voucher carefully so that you donít scratch the numbers underneath it. Now Simply type your voucher code from your dial pad and press the Dial button (Phone button). You will receive a Text message with top up confirmation.
